Aransas Pass, Texas – August 1, 2017- The Maxine Flournoy Third Coast Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force, Museum of Military History will hold its annual Hall of Fame Awards ceremony at 2:00 p.m on September 23, 2017, at Porter-McCampbell Airport. 

Each year the members of the Maxine Flournoy Squadron hold this ceremony to honor and commemorate the service of local individuals who have achieved great accomplishments while serving in the U.S. military. It is the mission of the Maxine Flournoy Third Coast Squadron to establish and maintain a permanent presence in the Corpus Christi, Texas community so as to preserve and illustrate the Coastal Bend's involvement in the history of those men and women who served in the past and still serve in today’s military.

This year’s Hall of Fame Award honorees are: Maj. Gen. Angela Salinas, USMC (Ret), of Alice, Texas;  Lt. Joe Sassman, USN (Ret) of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Andrew Adams, Senior CPO Master Diver USN (Ret) of Ingleside, Texas.  These veterans have shown exemplary service to our country and we are pleased to honor their service.  

The ceremony is free and open to the public.  In addition to the award ceremony the hangar museum and WWII-era airplanes will be on display and aircraft rides will be available before and after the event.
