IMG 4541 copyCAF AIRSHO and CAF Wings Over Houston in contest to rank as one of US’s TOP 10 Airshows in USA Today.

There are two days left to vote for CAF AIRSHO and CAF Wings Over Houston Airshow in the TOP 10 AIRSHOWS IN AMERICA web contest presented by USA TODAY. CLICK HERE TO VOTE

The CAF puts on about eight airshows per year at various CAF unit locations. Shows range in size from the number of visitors attending each year, smaller ones welcome a few hundred through the gate, and the largest, CAF Wings Over Houston welcomes more than 90,000 attendees each day of the show.

Both of these airshows are well deserving in the recognition, have a long history in carrying out the CAF mission and engaging multiple generations in honoring American aviation history. The success of both shows can be attributed to the hard work of the directors and the hundreds of CAF members who volunteer to put these shows on.

Cast your ballot once per day until voting ends on Monday, July 18 at noon ET. The top 10 winners will be announced on Friday, July 22. USA Today sought the input of two “airshow experts” to weight in on which shows should be included in the competition. Ron Rapp, a Southern California based airshow performer clocking more than 8,000 hours piloting aircraft and David Vanderhoof, a military historian and co-host of Airplane Geeks podcast.
